Castle Dur MarrSession 3summary

#summary #session-3

Last we saw our heroes push through the heart of the storm, navigating the storm water, securing the mast, and putting out fires to help Elto drive the ship through the storm wall and into the relative safety of the eye. Before them lay a large island covered with thick vegetation, and a large hill in the center with a thunderstorm raging above it; a storm within the storm.

Anchored off shore from the island, the grove of St. Pandercost, Arcash discovered his cooking supplies, and Aulidal his prescious book soaked. Quix alerted Aulidial to the passenger residing within him, and Quix was again visited by a mysterious power in his dreams.

Early in the morning, the heroes swam to the island to discover a thick mixture of plants from every biome imaginable. Perry reached out to the plants, and discover their roots water logged, and their leaves starved of the sun. He sacrificed some of his own life essence to save them, and in return the plants laid a path through the island navigating around obstacles and hazards.

Close to the hill, the heroes discovered a grove, with a massive dead white tree in the center, and a strange iron band bolted to what appeared to be its mouth. Suffering wounds of cold, and massive falls, the heroes removed the band, to feel a sense of breath return to the island, and Perry felt an entity give gratitude, packets of dry powder, and reveal to him the source of the storm: Angulotl (frog people) with single blood tears on their right eye.

Arcash and Perry, confronted again with Mother, revealed to the party the existence of Mother, the music box and its cursed knowledge. While most of the party rejected the artifact, Quix could not resist and took his first listen.

The heroes journyed on up the hill and came upon a small swamp with wounded Angulotl. Seeing no tears of blood, Perry approached and used one of the party's healing potions to heal the injured. With trust established, the heroes learned that there were many more Agulotl who were not turned, but could not fight what was above.

Climbing the last of the hill, the heroes discovered a path of dead plants leading to a strange cave hidden by a clever illusion. They entered to discover for sets of tables and stools all made of stone, with one lit by candle. While investigating the writing on the wall, Ran'Kar and Ailudal Ilvi of the heroes sat down and entered some strange trance.

And while Ran'Kar encounted a blue demon with large curling horns, and Ailudal Ilvi will most likely encounter something similar, we focus first on Perry.

Perry, has done something that no one has ever done…read the terms of service.
