Devil's Bargain Mechanic

Ailudal Ilvi negotiated a long and byzantine contract with Uryal the Subtle. The negotiation lasted two straight weeks with 16 hour a day negotiations. What tricks were Al able to insert into the language.

During the campaign, the GM may describe or inteject some contract stipulation by which Ailudal Ilvi is bound. At this point, the player may ask for a Devil's Bargain. The player can then ask that some or part of the stipulation be changed in exchange for some cost. The GM and the player have to agree on both the stipulation and the change.

For example:

GM Ed the goblin witnesses you stealing the artifact. According to your contract you must now kill them. Chris I would like a devil's bargain. Can I give them a warning instead? GM You can but you have to threaten their lives if they ever speak of it, and you must lose a recovery for showing mercy. This rule now applies going forward. Chris Ok I agree

Loopholes

The player will have a some number of loopholes per the game. When the GM describes a contract detail, the player may use a loophole to wiggle out entirely of the detail. The player may describe some clever trick or tactic they used to introduce the loophole.

For example:

GM The details of the contract require you to force this individual to sell their soul in this contract Chris I would like to use a loophole here. Instead of signing a contract to sell their soul, the contract allows Uryal to admire it from afar. GM How did you accomplish that? Chris When this part of the contract was drafted, I smudged the ink to change the meaning of the word.
